You are granted a waiver for vaccines that are contraindicated during pregnancy.
You are required to obtain all other appropriate vaccines, depending on your age and state of
health.
If they prefer not to get the required vaccines then you are encouraged to hold off applying until
after you feel comfortable taking the required vaccines.
We encourage pregnant women to consult their primary caretaker prior to taking any
medication including vaccines.

For example if she tests positive for tuberculosis, a chest X-ray is required.

You cannot self-report vaccines. You must provide a credible written record.
Taking any medication including vaccines carry some risk. In the case of vaccines the risk is
small compared to the risk of having the disease and passing it on to vulnerable Americans.
Several vaccines can be taken safely at the same visit. For some people it may be appropriate
to take the vaccines on a slower schedule.
If your reason is not medical it would be appropriate to have that discussion with your
attorney. There is provision for those who hold genuine moral and religious conviction that
prevent them from taking vaccines.
That is generally true for US citizens and other individuals who are not applying for change of
immigration status. Applicants who cannot provide evidence of a history of three appropriate
tetanus vaccines need at least one additional shot is required to meet the requirements.
Immunity testing is acceptable for the following : Hepatitis B, Varicella, MMR and polio.
The test for polio immunity must cover three components. Most polio tests commercially
available do not met this requirement and are therefore not acceptable.
